Answer 1 :
I honestly would suggest Cascadia which is on the same campus and University of Bothell location. I recall that the UW Bothell location had a bigger emphasis on writing than anything and it would possibly increase your chances of getting in since it is so hard now a days. It's been awhile, but I also recall North Seattle Community College being a good one. Serious students for the most part.
Answer 2 :
i totally agree---Cascadia has an awesome campus as well as their writing program.

Is Washington State University a good college for pre-med

Is Washington State University a good college for pre-med?
I was wondering if it is possible to do pre-med at WSU, WWU,CWU or any other college then transfer to UW. Or is it a good idea to do pre-med at UW then transfer to a different state? Like CA,NY or GA. What about the costs and the social life of these colleges?

Answer 1 :
It is possible to do pre-med at those colleges. You're just getting one of like six or seven degrees that fit your course prereqs for med school anyway. They don't have medical schools at those state colleges so you're going to have to go to another school eventually for at least the med school part. I'm going to WSU this fall and then transferring to UW after I get those 60 credits because UW is way more respectable and one of the top ten schools in the nation across the board for the different types of health schools: med, nursing, dental, etc. Like with all public colleges in-state tuition is much cheaper and that's what's great about WA or CA, with the UW and 10 UC schools. But if you are a WA resident like I assume from your question stick to the UW for med school cause it's an amazing school and you will pay instate tuition. Social life at WSU is insane, they just got ranked #16 for playboys top 25 party schools, so it will be nice to party for 2 years before I settle down at UW. WWU and CWU are good but nowhere the same as WSU. Costs are relatively the same across the board.

Is a 3.5 average in college good enough to transfer to the university of washington

Is a 3.5 average in college good enough to transfer to the university of washington?
I am going to Eastern Washington University and I am currently a sophomore looking to transfer to uw. Will a 3.5 get me in? I have also been on the deans list the last 3 quarters.

Answer 1 :
yes, anything above a 3.0 will get you in as a transfer student for most colleges.
Answer 2 :
Your GPA is fine. Their minimum for transfer students is a 2.50.
Answer 3 :
You should be good but you have to remember it also depends on what major you are transferring into. If U of M has a particular very strong program and that's the one you are trying to transfer in, it may not be a slam dunk.
