Well I'll be attending college in the fall (Western Washington University) but for now I'm still a senior in high school. The weather can be all over the place. I live about 30 minutes from Seattle and the winters are mild to cold. Lots of rain and sometimes snow (a lot this year!). The summer is generally 70-80 degrees but once in awhile we get to the high 80's or low 90's but thats not very often. However, thats for western washington. Eastern WA across the mountains is like another state. Very cold winters, lots of snow. Very hot summers. A lot of farmland. The two main state universities are UW, which is located in Seattle and WSU which is in Pullman. We're kind of known as an "outdoor" state. Not sure if that makes sense but there is lots of hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, boating, etc. I usually go to Crystal Mountain to snowboard. We have Mt. Rainer which is over 14,000 feet tall. there are no actual ski/snowboard resorts there, but I know people who have gone there to just ride back country.

I graduated from Wash. State University. But that is in eastern Washington, so the weather is completely different then the Puget Sound area. But I did grow up, and currently live, in the Seattle area. WSU is a fantastic experience. It is a true college town, so you have a great identity with the school. The weather in the Puget Sound area is very mild. It doesn't really snow much in the winter. Mostly I remember getting 2-3 days where it would snow 1-2", but be melted by noon. In the summer the temperature rarely gets above 90°. It doesn't really rain as much as people think, but it isn't sunny that often either. It is overcast a lot. In eastern Washington, it is not mild. Lots of snow in the winter, and hot summers. The Cascade mountains separate the two environments.
