Answer 1 :
Haha probably not UW. Central or Eastern would probably accept you. Or you could just go to Community College for 2 years then transfer.

Answer 1 :
Neither one. Both of them, like all other universities, are very greedy, liberal, socialist pigs. They charge exorbitant tuition rates, and the professors don't even care if you succeed or not. Most of them can't even speak English. If you want to go to college, go to a junior college as long as you can, then transfer to a university only if you need to.
Answer 2 :
I agree with Leaira, they're just in it for the money. Notice that most liberals are hypocrites in that way.
Answer 3 :
Oh, please...ignore those other posters. They probably didn't get into their first choice college so they're bitter...or had some other bad personal experience. But you're not asking for personal experience, so--prestige-wise, GW is generally held in higher esteem.
Answer 4 :
Depends on your major. Rutgers is one of the best (if not *the* best) universities in the country for philosophy majors. It's all relative to the area of study you wish to pursue. Overall, there isn't much difference between the two. They're both very good schools.

Answer 1 :
hi Danielle, i can suggest you http://discounttravelpackages.blogspot.com/ and http://websoni.com/ - your online travel partner.Hope this is helpful.....
Answer 2 :
The cheapest way is by bus. Check the online websites for Greyhound. It is not the most comfortable way to travel, but it is the cheapest. If you are a student, AMTRAK will sometimes cut you a break on the fare. Southwest also has cheap fares for flights for students and is having a July sale right now. You might check that out.
Answer 3 :
The cheapest way is to share a ride with someone going that way and you pick up half of the gas and tolls. If you're on campus now, spread the word that you'll be needing a lift, put up signs around campus, use craigslist, etc.

Well, first of all, I live in Eugene so I'm probably biased, but I'll try to be neutral. They're both big PAC--10 (sports) schools. As schools, there's two big differences. WSU is the land-grant school in WA, and that means they have the agriculture department and engineering schools. Of course, they offer the other things, too. In Oregon, Oregon State University in Corvallis would be the corresponding university. The UO is larger (21,000 students this year and growing). It has more of the liberal arts and the pure sciences. UO has no engineering or agriculture departments. It has the Librarian school, the Law School, and a Fine Arts and Architecture department. There's far more art here. The cities and the climate are very different. Pullman is a small place and the university totally overwhelms it. The nearest town, Moscow, Idaho, is home to another school, the U of Idaho. Pullman has severe winters, with temps zero and below. It is fairly dry though. Eugene is much larger (160,000) and maybe another 100,000 just outside the city limits. Once you get a half mile away from the U, you might not even know there was one around; the school does not overwhelm the city. The winters are very mild, rarely getting below freezing. But it does rain in the winter -- maybe 8 inches in each of Dec and Jan, for example -- and none of it falls as snow. It also rarely rains hard, so it drizzles a lot. It's cloudy a lot in the winter, too. On the other hand, there's great skiing an hour away (to the east) and the ocean an hour to the west. If you want to be an engineer or a farmer, go to WSU. Otherwise, choose based on the city and the weather. Just my opinion, of course.
Answer 2 :
University of Oregon. I attended Oregon my freshman year, it had its ups and downs but I would definitely say its a much better atmosphere than WSU

Well I'll be attending college in the fall (Western Washington University) but for now I'm still a senior in high school. The weather can be all over the place. I live about 30 minutes from Seattle and the winters are mild to cold. Lots of rain and sometimes snow (a lot this year!). The summer is generally 70-80 degrees but once in awhile we get to the high 80's or low 90's but thats not very often. However, thats for western washington. Eastern WA across the mountains is like another state. Very cold winters, lots of snow. Very hot summers. A lot of farmland. The two main state universities are UW, which is located in Seattle and WSU which is in Pullman. We're kind of known as an "outdoor" state. Not sure if that makes sense but there is lots of hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, boating, etc. I usually go to Crystal Mountain to snowboard. We have Mt. Rainer which is over 14,000 feet tall. there are no actual ski/snowboard resorts there, but I know people who have gone there to just ride back country.
Answer 2 :
I graduated from Wash. State University. But that is in eastern Washington, so the weather is completely different then the Puget Sound area. But I did grow up, and currently live, in the Seattle area. WSU is a fantastic experience. It is a true college town, so you have a great identity with the school. The weather in the Puget Sound area is very mild. It doesn't really snow much in the winter. Mostly I remember getting 2-3 days where it would snow 1-2", but be melted by noon. In the summer the temperature rarely gets above 90°. It doesn't really rain as much as people think, but it isn't sunny that often either. It is overcast a lot. In eastern Washington, it is not mild. Lots of snow in the winter, and hot summers. The Cascade mountains separate the two environments.
Answer 3 :
no, but I wish I had!
