Is it logical to move from to Washington state from New York to attend community college

Is it logical to move from to Washington state from New York to attend community college?
My best friend lives in Washington and we have been talking about my move there. The rent would be $250 with everything included. I have about $1200 saved up, and would be attending a college nearby to her house. I would try finding a job as soon as I got there, and would continue pursuing my nursing degree. Does this sound like a possibility? I'm a little nervous about moving out. I'm still living at home, and thought this would be a good opportunity to be more independent.

I live in Oregon, and am a college student. God, hard to believe I am saying that now that i am 40. But to answer your question, yes, it does seem logical. Of course there is those pesky out of state tuition you need to address before the move, unless you can have someone vouch for you and tell them you lived in Washington for 1 year. $250 is a great deal, of course work in the northwest is nearly non-existant. But there is the pell grant at www.fafsa.gov, and many scholarships to look into, and if nothing else you can always do the student loans. So sure, why not, go for it.
