Does anyone know of any small college towns in Oregon or Washington

Does anyone know of any small college towns in Oregon or Washington?
I'm doing a creative writing assignment in english and it has to be about the life of someone who grew up in a small rural kind-of college town.

Answer 1 :
Monmouth has Western Oregon University. I think the population is about 8,000 people.
Answer 2 :
Monmouth is a small, rural college town as is Lagrande, home Eastern Oregon Univ. Monmouth is cold and wet in the winter, located in the Willamette Valley and Lagrande is cold and snow in the winter and located in "The alps of America" about 150 miles from Boise, Idaho.
Answer 3 :
Corvallis has a campus of University of Oregon. Medford has Southern Oregon University
Answer 4 :
I went to Southern Oregon University and it's actually located in Ashland, Oregon and not Medford. Ashland is a cool place, really beautiful, and has the Shakespeare festival. Definitely a small town.
Answer 5 :
Whitman College is outside of Walla Walla, Washington. VERY rural. I'd go with Monmouth over Corvalis or Medford. They are a bit bigger and less rural than Monmouth. You drive right through the fields to get to Western Oregon University. Eastern Oregon University is in La Grande which is in the boonies. Not as many farms--more industrial, drier climate boonies. A lot of dust and gravel out that way.
Answer 6 :
Pacific University (Forest Grove, OR) Oregon State University (Corvallis, OR) Washington State University (Pullman, WA) Southern Oregon University (Ashland, OR) Linfield College (McMinnville, OR) George Fox University (Newberg, OR)
Answer 7 :
pullman washington is where washinton state university is. population is less than 50,000

Is Western Washington University a good college for film studies

Is Western Washington University a good college for film studies?
I live in Bellingham, WA, and i want to get into the film industry. I am very interested in directing films, and I was planning on majoring in film at WWU. I heard WWU has great art programs, but I figured i would ask around first. So, does anyone know if WWU is good for film studies? And, if it's not, does anyone know of a good film school in the Bellingham area?

Answer 1 :
No, it's not. To my knowledge, the only way you could get a degree in film at WWU is through Fairhaven. But check out the Northwest Film School (nwfilmschool[dot]com). It's here in Bellingham. The program is very hands-on.

A Floridian going to Washington for college

A Floridian going to Washington for college?
Hey :) I'm thinking of going to an Art Institute for College. They have a few of them in Florida, but I really don't want to go to college in Florida. I want to go somewhere different. I've always wanted to go to Washington state. I think it's beautiful there. But I think it might be TOOO different then Florida. I don't know if I should go to Seattle or Vancouver? What do you think? (They offer the same thing I am going into) Also I do not have any family there so please don't answer "Go to college near some family"
