Washington D,C College Cost and Good Colleges?
Is it generally more expensive to attend college in Washington, Dc then in a smaller city? And if so by about how much? And also what are some good political science colleges in the area?

Answer 1 :
It's going to be about the same in a typical residential campus. Consider George Mason University -- not too far away from DC but probably cheaper to live there than Georgetown. Both have good political science programs.

Answer 1 :
Call up the registrars office at the university there in Washington State, and they will tell you all that you have to do. Then call your own college's offices, and ask them how they can assist you doing that. It happens all the time and they know all about it.
Answer 2 :
generally speaking, it is hard to transfer from a CC to a university that is out of state. Usually credits don't transfer. But it's possible in some cases. Speak with your advicer at your CC and ask how you would go about doing this.
Answer 3 :
Just go on the school's web site- go to admissions/undergrad/transfer student for all requirements and how to apply. My son went to a CC in IL and four year college in TN. It wasn't too hard at all.

Answer 1 :
Borrow a car from a friend :) Absent that choice, try Greyhound Bus. It's $84 round trip. I've done that trip a few times. I also tried Amtrak to Philly from Huntingdon, PA and change to DC, but that was incredibly long and more expensive. Happy travels!

Answer 1 :
Go to the Free Application for Federal Student Aide and apply for financial assistance. From what you told me on your GPA, there are scholarships available for you, and because you are native american, you are also eligible for NA scholarships depending on what you study and your financial need. I provided a link for you from the UW site, it has alot of information for you to obtain scholarships.
Answer 2 :
In regards to higher education funding opportunities reserved for American Indians, you MUST be an enrolled member/citizen of a US Federally Recognized Tribe in order to qualify to apply for these funding opportunities. Application is done with your tribe of enrollment. Depending on the wealth of your tribe, they may or may not have funding set aside to support their tribal members/citizens with their higher education costs. There are other sources for funding for American Indians (read: enrolled members/citizens of US Federally Recognized Tribes) but each is different and will typically require that you provide proof of tribal enrollment by providing copies of your tribal enrollment card/letter and/or a CDIB. Funding is not guaranteed and is only awarded to the top American Indian applicants.
