What are some good colleges for journalism? Preferably a four year college in California or Washington?

In Washington, check out: Gonzaga, Western Washington University, and Seattle University. All 3 are fabulous schools. The University of Washington also has a strong Journalism program, but it is extraordinarily competitive. California is a little more complicated with the budget crisis. Programs are a bit more uncertain, but I would check out: Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, Long Beach State, and if you're a fabulous student, USC.
